An F1 student is eligible to transfer to another USCIS-approved school if the student has maintained valid legal status, has carried a full course of study at the school last attended, intends to pursue a full course of study at the new school and is financially able to attend the new school.
If you are transferring from a U.S. school to Agnes Scott College (ASC):
You must report to the Office of International Education within 15 days of the program start date at ASC. Your transfer will be completed in SEVIS and you will be issued a new I-20 document. Bring your I-20 from your previous school(s) with you. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN YOUR IMMIGRATION STATUS. This also applies to students who have completed a degree at another U.S. school and are coming to ASC for a new degree program.
If you are transferring from Agnes Scott College to a new institution:
Inform the Office of International Education (OIE) that you intend to transfer to another school. Ask OIE to sign the Transfer Clearance form from the new institution (if applicable.) If not provide the OIE with the transfer-in school name, address, and SEVIS identification code. Report to the Designated School Officer DSO at the new institution within 15 days of attendance to complete the transfer procedure. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of International Education.
