State of Georgia

Agnes Scott College is authorized to operate postsecondary educational programs leading to the bachelor’s degree in the state of Georgia by Executive Order of the Governor dated June 28, 2013.

Other States

Institutions offering postsecondary education through distance (online) education to students in a state in which it is not physically located must meet that state’s requirements to legally offer postsecondary distance education to students in that state.

Agnes Scott College is

  3. outside the 50 states of America

  • Alabama: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Alabama.
  • Arkansas: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Arkansas.  
  • California: Agnes Scott College does not maintain a physical presence in the State of California.  Per the Licensing Unit of the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (4/25/14), if Agnes Scott students are only taking online courses and not attending a physical location in California, Agnes Scott does not need state approval.
  • Delaware: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Delaware.
  • Florida: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Florida.
  • Kentucky: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Kentucky.
  • Louisiana: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Louisiana.
  • Maryland: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Maryland.
  • Mississippi: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Mississippi.
  • North Carolina: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in North Carolina. 
  • Ohio: Agnes Scott College is authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents to offer online courses to Agnes Scott students residing in the State of Ohio as of 5/21/14
  • Oklahoma: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Oklahoma.
  • South Carolina: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in South Carolina.
  • Tennessee: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Tennessee. In order to minimize costs to obtain authorization to offer online courses and programs, Agnes Scott cannot authorize internship opportunities in Tennessee. Agnes Scott’s academic programs will develop alternative academic experiences as options for traditional site-based internships, which will be formally written into degree requirements as alternatives, preserving the expected programmatic outcomes and degree of rigor expected of traditional site-based internships.
  • Texas: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Texas.
  • Virginia: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in Virginia.
  • West Virginia: Agnes Scott College is authorized to offer online education through SREB's Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement in West Virginia.

 

Non-Authorized States  Agnes Scott College is currently in the process of obtaining authorization to offer online education in the states listed below.  Agnes Scott also cannot authorize credit-bearing internship opportunities in these states.  Agnes Scott’s academic programs will develop alternative academic experiences as options for traditional site-based internships, which will be formally written into degree requirements as alternatives, preserving the expected programmatic outcomes and degree of rigor expected of traditional site-based internships.
