Alumnae and Friends Tour of Ireland and Scotland 2018

Earlier this summer, Travel with Agnes — through the Office of Alumnae Relations — journeyed across the Atlantic Ocean for an Alumnae and Friends Tour of Ireland and Scotland.

Christine Cozzens, Charles A. Dana professor of English, led the sold out 12-day trip focused on three main themes: 1) Belfast During and After The Troubles; 2) Robert Burns, Ploughman Poet and National Icon, and 3) Walter Scott and the Birth of Scott-Land. The trip also looked to understand the Ulster-Scots connection in honor of Agnes Irvine. Before the trip, each of the themes was a focus of an on-campus lecture, discussion and social event.
