Part-Time Instructor In Music Theory

The Agnes Scott College department of music is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Music Theory during the Fall 2017 semester.  Courses would include Music Theory II: Diatonic Harmony (functional harmony and voice leading) and Theory IV: Post-Tonal Trends (advanced chromaticism, set theory, serialism, and popular/jazz materials). The successful applicant will have a minimum of a master’s degree in Music Theory and preferably be ABD in a Ph.D. program. Candidates will also be asked to provide evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level.
