Jiha Moon, Artist Talk
Kirk Visiting Artist and Professor Jiha Moon will discuss her art and inspiration in an informative gallery talk on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Charles A. Dana Fine Arts Building.
Moon is from Daegu, South Korea and lives and works in Atlanta. Her works have been acquired by prestigious museums including the Asia Society, The High, The Mint, the Smithsonian, the Hirshhorn, the Weatherspoon and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Her exhibition history includes solo shows at Art Charlotte, The Cheekwood Museum of Art in Nashville and Rhodes College’s Clough-Hanson Gallery in Memphis, among a multiplicity of national group shows. She is a recipient of the prestigious Joan Mitchell foundation’s painter and sculptor’s award for 2011 and has recently been awarded The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia’s working artist project for 2012/2013.
