Agnes Scott College’s fully online M.S. in Strategic Communication program prepares students to be leaders in professional and public fields that require advanced digital communication with diverse global audiences.

Rooted in Agnes Scott’s values of academic excellence, diversity, collaboration, and social justice, this Master of Science program is designed with flexibility in mind, and open to motivated students with degrees in any discipline. You can complete your master's in communication degree in 12-24 months.

Our innovative curriculum allows you to create a meaningful academic journey that meets your individual interests and goals. You will engage communication in its many forms, modes, and contexts from a range of perspectives. You will also gain practical skills to influence and empower public health decision making, enhance public scientific literacy, and mobilize communities for social change, such as:

  • different genres of writing and multimedia storytelling;
  • digital design and data analysis;
  • persuasion and project management;
  • and the ethical use of evidence-based communication strategies. 

To enhance your career credentials even further, you can add a stackable certificate in Advocacy and Public Engagement, Data Analysis and Health Communication.

What You'll Learn

A strategic communication degree from Agnes Scott is for anyone who wishes to be an inclusive and ethical communicator who can tackle real-life communication problems and engage the intellectual and social challenges of their times. At the end of the program, students will be able to:
