Paige Sullivan '13
English Literature/Creative Writing and Psychology
Paige Sullivan graduated from Agnes Scott in 2013 with a double major in English Literature – Creative Writing and Psychology. She is originally from Monroe, Georgia and currently lives in Atlanta. After graduating from Agnes Scott, she enrolled in the Creative Writing program at Georgia State University and completed her MFA in Poetry. As a student at Agnes Scott, Paige loved how committed faculty were to mentoring students, which helped her believe in herself as a writer and poet enough to pursue an MFA and a career in writing. As a Psychology major, she most appreciated the rigorous coursework and opportunities to be a research assistant for Dr. Hughes and intern at a hospice organization, all of which were excellent preparation for the demands of graduate school. Because of the richness of her Agnes Scott experience, she gained powerful self-confidence and a stringent work ethic that helped her juggle her second degree, being a freelance food and travel writer, editing a literary journal, and taking care of her two cats, Fitz and Layla. This ability to juggle absolutely contributed to her recently securing a marketing position at Central Atlanta Progress, a private nonprofit membership organization in Downtown Atlanta, where she now gets to put her writing and communication skills to work in the marketing and development department. Her photo was taken at Georgia State.
