2017-2018 Housing Application and Room Selection

Agnes Scott College is a residential liberal arts institution. The residential environment is a key component of each student’s college experience. Students enrolled at Agnes Scott College are expected to live in on-campus housing for the duration of their tenure at the college. The housing room selection process is a structured process to ensure students are placed in on-campus housing in the most objective way possible.  

Agnes Scott offers a wide variety of housing options and emphasizes personal choice in a competitive assignment process. We encourage you to explore the diverse options available for on-campus living with visits to different residence halls and discussions with your peers.

The reapplication process for current/returning students includes registering for classes for the upcoming fall semester and participating in the room-mate and room selection process (or being assigned) during the months of March and April of each year. Current students will receive instructions on "How to apply" via email early during the spring semester. Students who require special accommodations or who plan to request to live off-campus are required to complete specific forms (due March 1st) during the re-enrollment process. Learn more about the ballot selection process, "point system" and facility changes for next year by attending a Housing "Information" Sessions:

Tuesday’s at 12pm 2/21, 2/28, 3/21  Wednesday at 4pm on 2/22, 3/1, 3/22  and Thursday’s at 6pm 2/23, 3/2, 3/23 - all sessions held in the Winship Ground Floor Lobby

Looking for a roommate?  Participate in "Pair Fair" at 6pm on March 27th in Lower Winship.

Don't know which facilities to choose?  Take a tour of all facilities during our Open House on March 27th from 7pm-8pm.  Tour leaders can be met at Lower Winship

 

Electronic (paperless) housing ballots,  instructions and a list of rooms for selection will be available April 1st.   Please pay attention to deadlines regarding ballot due dates and selection nights.

How many points do I get for my ballot?

  • Rising Seniors get 4 points 
  • Rising Juniors get 3 points
  • Rising Sophomores get 2 points

 

On selection night, ballots are organized highest to lowest points and randomly drawn. Participants are allowed to select from the available spaces.

  • Single Rooms and Avery Glen Ballots due April 7th.  Selection April 12th
  • Campbell Ballots due April 14th.  Selection April 19th
  • Main & Inman Ballots due April 21st. Selection April 26th 
  • Unselected rooms/late entries/Manual assignments occur on May 3rd

 

*Students abroad for the Fall semester, returning for Spring 2018  participate in a separate process in November .

First time students follow the Admissions office deadlines while also submitting a housing application before June 1st.  All first time students participate in the Please Don't Snore room-mate matching programming and receive room assignments during the summer months.
