Organization Description: Agape empowers and supports underserved families within its community to discover, embrace, and achieve their full potential. Agape achieves this mission by providing academic support and family services focusing on character development, academic achievement, reading proficiency by third grade, successful high school graduation and post-graduation placement. Agape serves 200 school-age children year round in innovative, in-school and after-school academic support programs; and 40 senior citizens providing a vibrant, social, safe community.

Organization Description: The mission of the Atlanta Botanical Garden (ABG) is to develop and maintain plant collections for display, research, conservation, education, and enjoyment. It accomplishes this goal by maintaining world-class living collections and display gardens, while facilitating innovative conservation science, STEM enrichment education, and thought-provoking art and cultural exhibitions. An integral part of Atlanta for more than 40 years, ABG welcomes nearly 725,000 visitors annually. Admission is open to all members of the public; most Garden facilities and programming offers ADA-compliant alternative services. ABG has an active Board of Trustees, 295 full and part-time staff, and the support of more than 400 volunteers. Locations in midtown Atlanta and nearby Gainesville, Georgia cover 50 acres of display gardens, nationally and internationally recognized plant collections, and include one of the largest orchid collections in North America.
Organization Description: The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, child care centers, night shelters and senior centers, and more. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. The Atlanta Community Food Bank employs 175 food bankers.
Organization Description: Since 1924, Atlanta Legal Aid has offered free civil legal aid to low-income people across metropolitan Atlanta. Main focuses are protecting victims of violence, fighting for clients to have safe and secure housing, and empowering clients to advocate for their interests in legal matters. Legal Aid has five neighborhood offices, three offices in Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospitals, three county courthouse projects, and a variety of self-help clinics. In 2019, Legal Aid opened over 20,000 cases for clients and fought for clients to receive almost $25 million in annualized monetary outcomes, including public benefits, consumer debt relief, child support, and health-related supports. Over $10 million of these outcomes were for housing cases alone.
Organization Description: Shambhala Buddhist meditation centre is a 40 year old institution serving a varied group of practitioners. We offer classes and programs on meditation and Buddhism. The centre has both a BIPOC and a Unlearning Racism group that meets monthly.
Organization Description: As the only public foundation in Georgia dedicated solely to women and girls, The Atlanta Women’s Foundation’s mission is to be a catalyst for change in the lives of women and girls. We strive to ensure that all women and girls in metro Atlanta live safe, economically self-sufficient, successful lives. We are a small but mighty staff of seven women.

CDC has been working around the world for more than 60 years. CDC has unique expertise in using public health data to inform decisions, building public health laboratory capacity, developing a strong public health workforce, and establishing systems for emergency operations and response. In addition, CDC has deep technical expertise in disease-specific areas, operational research, implementation and evaluation of public health programs, and provision of technical assistance to Ministries of Health (MOHs), other public health institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and private sector industries.
Organization Description: Childspring International provides life-changing surgeries for children from developing countries. We work through established international partnerships and also help children travel to the U.S. for their surgical treatment. We serve children from families with no resources by connecting them to donated or low-cost healthcare. We are a staff of 3 full time, 2 part time, 1 contractor, 4 interns and several volunteers. We also contract with 1 on-site contact in Haiti. We serve children under 18 regardless of religion or ethnicity.
Organization Description: In 2003, the Decatur Public Assistance Board identified a need to alleviate the economic pressures on our community’s elderly and thereby enable at-risk seniors to remain in their homes safely and comfortably, improving their quality of life. To achieve these goals, the MLK, Jr. Service Project was started to provide house maintenance and repair, free of charge, to Decatur senior citizen homeowners during the MLK, Jr. holiday weekend. That first year’s project commenced with 100 volunteers and eight homes. The MLK Service Project is a part of the Community Center for South Decatur (CCSD) and operates in partnership with the City of Decatur and is supported through grants and private donations, both financial and in kind. CCSD is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Friends School of Atlanta has 180 students between PreK and 8th Grade and employs 45 individuals.
Organization Description: Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL) is a faith-based non-profit organization that engages communities of faith in stewardship of Creation as a direct expression of our faithfulness and as a religious response to global climate change, resource depletion, environmental injustice, pollution, and other disruptions in Creation. We work with faith communities in three primary ways: through engaging at the grassroots level with congregation’s Green Teams and teaching classes and workshops, through practical climate solutions such as our energy efficiency and solar programs, and through our environmental justice and advocacy work. Since 2003, we have served over 500 faith communities in Georgia. We currently have 3 full time and 2 part time employees and are in the process of hiring 2 more full-time positions.

SK Collaborative’s projects span across 18 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and Mexico. The majority of the company’s project work is located in Georgia and the Atlanta metro area. Our projects range from market rate and affordable multifamily residential and single family developments to light commercial projects. These include both new construction and renovation. Affordable housing projects serve low income residents and often include senior communities.

Organization Description: Synchronicity Theatre was founded in 1997 as a company by women artists dedicated to bringing meaningful theatre to Atlanta audiences. Now in our 21st year of producing smart, gutsy, bold theatre, Synchronicity has become an essential part of our city’s artistic landscape. Since launching a full season in 2000, Synchronicity has developed rich adult programming and dynamic educational children/youth programming. In 2018, Synchronicity was named the Managing for Excellence (mid-size budget) awardee from The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and was invited to join the new Atlanta cohort of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Arts Innovation & Management program.Synchronicity has a full-time staff of 5, and 9 additional part-time program managers and annual contract adjunct staff.
Organization Description: Tapestri is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to ending violence and oppression in immigrant and refugee communities using culturally competent and linguistically appropriate methods. As advocates for immigrants and refugees affected by human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, and exploitation, Tapestri uses education, community organizing, direct services, and advocacy to improve the lives of those it serves. Tapestri currently employs 17 individuals with different backgrounds and experiences.
