90% of qualified students who completed the Agnes Scott Post-Bacc Pre-Med program are accepted into medical school during their first application cycle.* Building on our success for over 27 years, we now offer a graduate-level cohort-based program designed for the student who has excelled in past academic programs and is preparing to apply to medical, dental or veterinary school.
We take a holistic approach by assisting with the academics, as well as aiding with an action plan for your medical or health professions application process - everything from MCAT preparation to personalized committee letters.
The Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Accelerated graduate certificate program at Agnes Scott College is a selective, cohort-based program designed for the student who has excelled in past academic programs and is preparing to apply to medical, dental or veterinary school.
*Based on qualified students who completed our post-bacc pre-med program between 2014-2020 and who scored =/+ the 50th percentile on the MCAT.
Our 12-month, in-person cohort program features comprehensive studies in pre-medical laboratory sciences, taught by our award-winning faculty in small classes, and an MCAT (GRE, DAT, or related) preparation course, along with the necessary support and guidance to prepare you for the professional school application process. Agnes Scott’s Post-Bacc Pre-Medical Accelerated students can apply to reach their goal of becoming a physician a year earlier through our linkage programs with Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM) and Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM). Eligible students enrolled full-time and who meet specific qualifications can apply for one of these linkage opportunities.
The Post-Bacc Pre-Medical Flex graduate-level certificate program is an in-person cohort program designed with flexibility and support in mind, with a 12-month full-time cohort and a 24-month part-time cohort. Ideal for students who have a cumulative GPA between 3.0 - 3.49, for career changers or those who need academic record enhancement to become competitive applicants for medical, dental, or veterinary school.
Interested in pursing a health professions program other than medical, dental or veterinary? Consider Agnes Scott's Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Allied Health graduate-level certificate program. This program, offered through a 12-month or 24-month cohort model, is designed for students who want to develop a career in professional allied health fields, such as physician assistant, pharmacy, physical therapy, and more. Pre-allied health students will complete the necessary sciences and participate in a clinical practicum experience.
