Weather In the South
One of the best features of living in Georgia is the weather. With an average high of 52°F (11°C) in January and 89°F (32°C) in July, our students enjoy plenty of study time outdoors on our beautiful quad lawn.
The Arts at Agnes
The arts live at Agnes Scott!
Our students, faculty, and staff, as well as the surrounding community enjoy a vibrant campus life full of arts and cultural events hosted by the academic departments of Art and Art History, Creative Writing, Music, and Theatre and Dance.
The Agnes Scott experience means a lot more than your years on campus. Agnes Scott is just as exciting, inspiring and empowering after graduation, and the connection lasts a lifetime. Here's how to make the most of it.
Agnes Scott is located in the City of Decatur, which boasts a traditional small-town atmosphere--and the sophistication and excitement of a college town--along with all the benefits of living in a major metropolitan area.
Internship & Career Development
The Office of Internship and Career Development inspires, encourages and supports the professional development of every Agnes Scott student by advocating a proactive and reflective approach and employ a strengths-based approach grounded in experiential learning.
Ringing the Bell
Recognized as one of every Scotties’ proudest moments, Ringing the Bell is one of Agnes Scott’s longstanding, valued and heartfelt traditions. Each year, members of the senior class are invited to ring the bell and sign their names in the bell tower when they receive acceptance into graduate/professional school or a job offer.
Agnes Scott Garden
The Agnes Scott Garden is an organic garden hosted by the Center for Sustainability where students, faculty and staff volunteer to demonstrate how to sustainably raise an organic garden on a small urban scale.
