The College’s 136th Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2025 will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 9:15 a.m.

The livestream will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
Location
The outdoor Commencement ceremony will be held on campus, on the Science Quadrangle, rain or shine. Seating for the platform party, graduates and a limited number of guest tickets per graduate will be available in a tent, open on all sides. Additional seating will be provided outside the tent. Guests are encouraged to bring umbrellas to protect themselves from the elements, where necessary.
Guest Parking and Check-In
Guest parking is available at the following TWO primary areas and points of entry for families and friends:
- West Parking Facility (137 S. McDonough Street)
- East Parking lot (184 S. Candler Road behind Charis Books)
Parking lots will open at 7 a.m. Volunteers will be on hand at both locations to check in all guests for access to the ceremony area.
If you are using rideshares such as Lyft or Uber, your drop-off address is the West Parking facility.
Guests with accessible needs, please complete this form to allow our staff to best accommodate your experience.
Golf carts will be available from all parking locations for those who need additional assistance.
Tickets
All graduates, guests, faculty, staff and vendors will be given wristbands upon arrival. Wristbands will be provided so that ushers can identify guests for the different seating locations. The wristband must be worn at all times while on campus.
Guest Seating According to Tickets:
- Under the tent: Each graduating student will receive four guest wristband tickets for seating under the tent. Your graduate will pick up wristband tickets and give them to their guests.
- Each ticket will have a QR code. The QR code serves as the guest’s ticket and will be shared with guests by the graduate.
- Contactless ticketing will be used. Printed or electronic versions of the ticket will be scanned upon arrival and cannot be utilized more than once.
- Outside the tent: Space/seating for guests without “under the tent” tickets will be available outside the tent on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Remote viewing: Remote viewing is located in the following buildings near the ceremony venue:
- Alston Campus Center Hub
- Campbell Hall Room 128
- Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis for both venues
- Children under the age of two who can sit on a parent’s lap do not need tickets.
Commencement Etiquette
The Commencement exercise is a formal academic ceremony. Our guests are asked to respect the ceremony, graduates and other guests by adhering to the following guidelines:
- Cellular phones should be turned to silent operation to ensure that all guests can hear and enjoy the graduation activities.
- Please remain in your seat for the duration of the ceremony until after the recessional. Please do not block the aisles or passageways by attempting to greet or take photos with graduates.
- For safety purposes all walkways must remain clear; therefore, strollers and large bags are not permitted in the guest-seating areas.
- Large bags are not permitted. Please plan to leave them in your vehicles.
- Balloons and small selfie sticks can be held in the very back behind all seating areas and must be moved if directed by a college official.
- Signs, flags, umbrellas, sticks, poles, paper larger than 8.5 by 11, sound devices or voice amplification systems are NOT allowed on campus during commencement activities.
- Agnes Scott College is a tobacco and weapon-free campus. Graduates or guests are NOT permitted to carry guns, knives or other weapons. Even individuals with a carry permit must leave their weapons off campus property.

Accessible Needs
Parking and check-in for guests with accessible needs will be located in the Presser Parking lot located on S. McDonough Street between buildings #5 and #8 on the campus map.
Accessible seating is available inside and outside of the tent seating area. Guests will be accommodated with seating according to wristband color.
- Guests in personal or rented wheelchairs will enter the venue through this parking lot.
- A sign-language interpreter will be present for the ceremony.
- Please note the college does not provide wheelchairs for mobility-impaired guests. Mobility equipment may be rented from the list provided*.
