Sophomore Ring Ceremony

A special rite of passage in every Agnes Scott student’s college life is the Sophomore Ring Ceremony. Family and friends share in the excitement as sophomores receive their Agnes Scott class rings. The onyx rings are inscribed with the letters “ASC” and the sophomore’s class year. The rings are presented in beautiful wooden boxes bearing the college's seal.

February 24, 2024, 3:00 PM.
Gaines Chapel, Presser Hall

Student Registration

Students who wish to participate in the ceremony must register online. Student registration to participate closes on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Register Here

Only students who ordered their ring in the fall semester are eligible to register to participate in the Sophomore Ring Ceremony.

Students who do not register before the deadline will not be able to participate since preparations for the program must be completed at least two weeks in advance.

Participation is not mandatory to receive a sophomore class ring.

Ring orders are taken each fall semester in order for rings to arrive in time for the ceremony. Any rings ordered after the final deadline will be sent directly to the student.

If a student does not participate in the ceremony but did order a ring during the fall semester, they will be able to pick up their ring beginning on the Monday after the ceremony from the Gué Pardue Hudson Center for Leadership, Engagement, and Service, Alston 216.

Event Information

As of now, families and guests will be able to attend the Sophomore Ring Ceremony in person. The college has long prioritized and enjoyed the post-ceremony reception for families and guests in Letitia Pate Evans Dining Hall immediately following the ceremony. Each student must fill out the form above to indicate the number of guests to ensure there is enough for everyone to enjoy.
